President Obama has been criticized for warning of economic catastrophe but Glenn Becks prediction is far more dire. Beck says the military is preparing for a revolution. |

You'd have to be on some pretty heavy drugs to believe anything that Glenn Beck says.

Except he's saying what so many others are saying. Just blaming it on the dems (which is not uncommon with Faux News).

So here's a new angle for you , as many know on these boards what I do for a living is take care of repossessed homes and I also own a welding shop. Here's my opinion first hand , repo numbers right now are triple what they were 4 years ago. So is my payroll because I have triple the employees than what I had back then just to manage the volume. So are things getting any better, Hmmmm ! Not for some.
Now on the welding shop side I do work at an army camp once and a while building stuff for buildings, it's a huge place located in the forest in michigan .25 years ago when I was in high school me and my buddies use to drive right thru the camp as there were no gates, fences, notta, My friend had a cabin back in the woods near this place, I'm talking miles of sandy roads. Today, you have to be cleared to go in to do work, you certainley can't drive thru anymore and you can't even fish on the lake there either. And it's all fenced off . Oh thats right it's for the deer and the bears. Maybe and Maybe not! As for Glenn Beck , he didn't even say one thing about the democrats so where did that thought that turned into a word even come from??? My grandmother told me about the depression, my great grandparents told me about the pandemic in 1918, my great grandfathers first wife and 2 children died of that. There's a gentlemen here in this small town who told me when the depression hit he and his 10 brothers and sisters lived out in the woods a mile from here for the whole summer in tents. Thats because the the banks closed up and no money was available, today there are safety mechanisms in place and I would say there are some prudent things going on and then maybe some that are not. The world is changing and were certainley going thru a difficult time, everyone needs to pull together and help each other out , put some plans together to help each other out if things get really bad. I believe that was one of the reasons this site was even started for? Will make it thru this easy or hard, cold or hot , will make it thru this together and yes the negative news can be balanced out with the postives like the power of prayer and helping your fellow neighbor , friend, or family member. Most of us our far better than the tiny portion of the population who got us into this mess to begin with. Just create the light and people will follow, and when things get worse if they do , help out and reach out more as it does. |

Must have been his comment that when Obama uses the word crisis, he's using it for political means...
I'm not a particular fan of Obama's, but I do think we're still seeing the polarization of the political parties, and that the MSM is still fostering it. Beck is saying he could forsee this "crisis" (when he says the word, of course, there's no "political" thoughts at all attached ![]() Of course, how anyone (even the president) could ignore the fact that we're in crisis - oh well, can't say that. GWB did say that the dollar was strong and that the economy was strong as it was sliding down the tubes on grease - so I guess that Obama could say that. But I do think the American public is better able to see what's going on. And we are in crisis. Unfortunately, Obama is just continuing the GWB/PTB/Fed tactic of printing more money to give away - Georgie just gave it to his buddies (the banksters) we'll have to see who Obama gives it to. Personally, I think this is all too little, too late. It seems to me that Beck was selling his upcoming evening show on martial law in this clip. That's where I got it, Pyranello. alys |

Alys, you've got topics and people pushing on all sides, the republican/democrat thing in DC just doesn't seem to be functional or responsible anymore. I mean who would sign for a mortgage and not at least read the paperwork to where they understood it. Not any of us.
But you have a whole group who voted in a trillion dollar spending spree and nobody read the whole thing and then what happen after the vote, a bunch got on a plane and went to Rome and then our president went to dinner. So really how urgent was this bill or was this to give us a warm fuzzy feeling that I have a cut and here's a bandaide for a while. They havn't even spent the first 700 billion that was voted in by our last administration and now they voted in another one. Don't be driven by fear, use the shows that pull you to one extreme to educate yourself and then demand questions from yourself to create answers to rebuff the topics.,like the too big to fail comment, who created that ! Avalon is a very good forum to hear the pro's and cons on a topic , that creates good dialog and we educate ourselfs thru ourselfs. And right or wrong, there was dialog started by Beck right here and maybe that was what he intended in the first place. Thanks for your response too! |
