Some thoughts of mine

When I'm working, my mind is often wandering off, worried more about the future than tomorrow. It's not always easy to write down my thoughts but here goes:

I want to clarify that when I talk about partisan bickering in the economy sub-forum, I am referring to people who put the good of their parties over the good of the nation.

Then again, how do we know what is good for the nation?

I must clarify that I don't even agree with the stimulus. It involves printing up MORE money that we DON'T have. However, that's not the part that bothers me the most. The part that bothers me the most has to do with the way people are openly COMPLAINING about something and offering NO alternative solutions. Perhaps they are not speaking up loud enough. Perhaps they are stuck in their old ways that they feel they must continue them (tax cuts).

For example, as long as Ron Paul is speaking in the fringe, he will never be taken seriously by anyone except for his diehard followers. The same can be said for Barack Obama and his followers on the Left.

My question is, why can't Mr.Paul speak directly to the President? Why does he constantly appeal to his base of rabid Paulites instead of offering his ideas to where they could be most useful? Dennis Kucinich faces a similar dilemma as he too, speaks the truth when it comes to most economic issues.

When it comes to Obama, I'd like to think of him as a puppet of the PEOPLE, not the PTB. We can mold Obama, we can steer him and we can make him OURS. Why can't people entertain this thought instead of outright trashing the guy? Just open your mind for once and stop being a coward. Obama may have made some questionable choices but it's ludicrous to say that he's sold us out when he has only been in office for nearly a MONTH!

Don't be a dope like rense, Rush Limbaugh or Jerome Corsi. Open your mind.

People who live under the illusion that we live in a free country are just as harmful as people who live under the illusion that Obama is a savior when he is not.

We have NEVER lived in a free country! If you'll look at the thread that discusses the U.S as a corporation, you may realize that we have never been free. We are "employees" of the corporation. We do their bidding by voting, paying taxes and obeying their laws. There is no freedom. The Constitution is just a piece of paper that they may or may not honor (and they only give us Freedom of Speech for ****s and giggles and nothing else).

You may cling to your precious Constitution but the reality of the matter is that the United States Government does NOT give a **** about the Constitution or YOU! In fact, I bet they all take turns rolling up blunts made from paper from the Constitution at Bohemian Grove! A piece of paper is just that: a piece of paper. Without actual enforcement, it is USELESS. I'm sorry to hurt your feelings, but it's true!

Just put that thought in your head and press "Play".

In order for us to be truly free, you, I and everyone else must detach ourselves from this system. We must stop voting (I certainly do not plan on voting ever again!) and we must question the laws that we follow and the reality that we think we know. We must stop doing the bidding of political parties, especially that sham of a two-party system that we have. We must detach ourselves from the negative influences that run our everyday lives and cause us to lash out unnecessarily against each other. We must educate ourselves about alternatives to what we have been taught all our lives.

As I was working, a simple thought crossed my mind: We continue to repeat the vicious cycle by allowing our children to be indoctrinated in public schools. The only history they learn is that of the victors, the wealthy, white landowners that won the wars, killed off the Indians, enslaved the Blacks, exploited the Irish, forced women to be brood mares for the state and caused just about every other injustice to humankind.

Don't send your kids to public schools.

This **** should not stand anymore. In other words,

WE'RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE and WE WON'T GET FOOLED AGAIN!

Again, in order for this to be effective, we need to put aside the partisan bickering and stop worshipping our "idols" (Ron Paul and Barack Obama for example).

Again, we can mold this presidency, we can get the disclosure we want and we can stop the PTB cold in their tracks. Dr.Paul can show us that Republicans can be non-obstructionist and actually work to solve these problems that we face!

BUT WE CAN'T DO IT WHEN WE'RE DIVIDED BY PETTY DISTRACTIONS!

I just wanted to share my thoughts. Feel free to disagree/agree and what not. These sites have the potential to be so much more but it's up to every single one of us to steer them in the right direction.

i spent some time in USA and I agree with you on the topic of freedom. From the very beginning ( being an outsider you notice more things) i knew, I felt that, there was no freedom for an average citizen, although everybody boasted about that, inserting the phrase "it's a free country" here and there. I always said about that American freedom; you are free to throw litter in the street without getting a ticket for that, but when it comes to real life your freedom is just an illusion.
