They give you an issue du jour, put fear in the hearts of the people, then offer a solution so you'll feel safe. This is the way Big Brother operates and gains more power over our lives. Communities are more than capable of protecting children if they choose to do so. That's where the responsibility lies. The Feds have been "protecting" us for years from drugs, terrorism, and illiteracy and have been doing a real bang-up job. All for a small price of less freedom, of course.
