Default Re: _AVALON LOUNGE_ Open 24 hours

Poor old Jim was a sandwich short of a picnic - probably caused by the amount of alcohol he had consumed in his lifetime. One night, as he staggered home from the local bar following the white line in the middle of the road, he saw a solitary light coming towards him. He recognised the sound of a motorbike engine and so, he staggered to one side to let it pass by. Unfortunately the motorbike had a sidecar attached and it hit poor old Jim knocking him to the ground.

Badly shaken, Jim took a few weeks to recover from his minor, but painful injuries. After his next binge, he was once more staggering home along the centre line when he saw a solitary light coming towards him. Remembering his last encounter with a single light, he staggered to the other side of the white line. Unfortunately, this time it was a car with only one headlight working. Jim ended up in hospital for a couple of weeks.

About a month later he had another bout of drinking. On his wobbly path following the white line, he saw two lights coming towards him. Recalling his experiences when dodging solitary lights, he chose to stay on the white line and not try to avoid the oncoming vehicle.

That was the last time poor old Jim had a drinking problem - you see, it was a truck coming down the centre of the road.
