Oh wow! We just had a huge double rainbow over the house from the garden area to the chicken tractor. It was full bodied - colors beautiful.
Thank you everyone (Shaynard, Céline, Moxie, yiolas, pedro, SWIFT, monique, Stargazer1965, Steven, sunflower)
for you kind thoughts and positive energies. We really are blessed here. The sun is shining and it's raining.. rainbows out the window. Big island feels like living in California ~ only on the north end of the island it is like perpetual springtime. I did get island fever on all of the other islands and could only stand to stay on them for two weeks... but Big Island has over 4,000 sq miles which was a big as the last county we lived in, in northeast Oregon. The primary downside is an active volcano on the other end and it cost a mint to visit relatives on the mainland.
Stargazer, we usually have one a year where we are located. Can't live on an island with an active volcano without a little shaking. Kind of like shake and bake.
We live on the opposite side of the island as far as one can be from the volcanic activity. There are more quakes on that end.
Steven your prayers pedro your light covered our home in rainbows.
SWIFT, hotter in the next two weeks? In what way?
Monique, the last Chilie quake of 9.2 in 1960 took out downtown Hilo here. This Chilie quake of 8.9 the Tsunami was only 3 feet high so all is good. We were indeed fortunate. Not so fortunate for the people of Chilie though but at least they were prepared because of the quake in 1960.
Sunflower.. I'm even more committed to building that Sea Egg given other forthcoming information.
