We are building a cement geodesic dome! You can check out the dome kits at American Ingenuity Domes. These domes are fire, earthquake and tornado proof!! The walls come with cement outer layer, 7 inch styrofoam insulation (R-45) and the interior sheetrock! They are harder to construct than a square house...and we are still not finished with the interior...But, the energy living inside a rounded structure is wonderful!! We heat our dome for free with our wood burning central boiler...which runs hot water through our radiant floor system we installed ourselves. We are totally self sufficient and live off-grid! There are so many ways to Live Green, Live Free!!!
