This is exactly what is needed...and I do nothing more when I heal myself or other.
First step is to make a "contact" with the diseased place (each one of you who heal do this on their own way)...second step is to have this diseased place to feel and see itself cleaned from any deiseases...and last, to ALLOW for the process...and to ALLOW the space to deal with the process...
This is how I "know" it works, at least for me....with a very important addendum...and you should be able to feel this...the one who receive the healing, must accept (not consciously) the heeling process. Even if you do healing on distance, you will be able to see the inner strength of the person who need the healing.
It may sound a bit complicated, but I hope this helps further...
