I had a brief encounter with Scientology back in 1953 or 1954. I met and had a few sessions with one of their "Auditors" (as I seem to remember his title) and I can say that these sessions helped me give up smoking at the age of 17 or 18. So, I can say that Scientology was beneficial for me at that time.
