Science has come to some definitive conclusions on what certain portions of the brain are used for, i.e. the occipital lobes, temporal lobes, frontal lobes, etc. Yet, there are vast areas of the brain that are still a mystery to science, i.e. the pineal gland, the full potential of the pituitary gland, and portions of the midbrain limbic system to name a few. Thus to evaluate how much of our brains’ capacity we are using when we are still unclear as to what vast areas are capable of is purely speculative.
One example of mapping brain usage compared to the norm was done in studying Einstein´s brain. The one definitive difference they found in his brain compared to the norm was that he had an unusually high number of glial cells in his parietal lobe. Glial cells are the supporting architecture for neurons. High counts of glial cells could indicate that he was using this portion of brain cognitively and extensively. The parietal lobe is thought to facilitate abstract thought. We do know that whenever anything is learned there are new dendrite connections made between neurons. Greater usage of the brain through learning and stimulation creates greater dendrite connectivity. Einstein´s brain indicated extensive dendrite connectivity.

Where does this lead, it can only lead to us accepting that we have not all the answers to that which we seek, so we should open ourselves up to seeing each moment in the context of newness and looking at the beauty of each thing and appreciation of the divine creation. Do not claim to have all the answers as I see that our minds, the universe, and religion all leads us to more questions. Questions lead to progress as we search and venture forth with positive intent for betterment, it is in beauty that I see God, all the time, in each instant, surrounding and cradling us, loving us, embrace the truth of divinity, the infinite and the natural, for that is our state infinium.
The pineal is the acorn to the oak tree of heavenly inspiration, creativity, intelligence of Gods’ universe, and His permeating pervasive love.
Tryptophan is available for veterinary purposes.
5 HTP can also help. As can melatonin.
Flouride accumulates in the pineal, and messes with the crystal structure of the calcium there, as well as increasing calcification.
Flouride, the battle of darkness and light:

The pineal gland, located at the epithalamus of the brain, secretes the vital hormone melatonin. It is the body´s chief photoreceptor -- a receiver of photons from the eyes, and thus protects the body from light deficiency.
Calcification of the pineal glad occurs in a large percentage of people over 60 years of age. It is not a natural part of the aging process because it doesn´t happen in everyone, but it is very common. "If a method could be devised," says the author, "to decalcify the pineal gland, I believe wondrous health benefits would ensue." Some of the benefits of chelation therapy using EDTA and/or UV therapy may be due to decalcification of the pineal gland.
It has been our experience that all organ function and glandular function improves as a result of EDTA chelation therapy, but I never considered its beneficial effect on the pineal gland before, I just assumed it should be enhanced as are all other tissues.

One meditative practice that claims to have a more physiological benefit is known as tratak. This is the practice of staring at a flame.
The flame is prepared by placing a cotton wick in a small lamp of ghee (clarified butter), or vegetable oil. The lamp is lit and placed approximately eleven inches before the seated practitioner at eye level.
The practitioner stares at the flame with both eyes wide open and unblinking until tears come to both eyes. At this point the eyes are closed and focused upwards between the eyebrows, and concentrating on the after image of the flame until it disappears. The flame is not looked at again for at least 20 minutes.
Theoretically this practice works toward the decalcification of the pineal gland, considered by some to be the master gland of the body. The pineal gland ossifies around the age of puberty to 16 years of age, after which many modern cientists and biologists consider it a secondary gland. However in yoga science, this gland is said to rule all the others and that it is also related to the awakening of very high spiritual understanding in the individual. Since it is considered to be sensitive to light, the practice of flame watching acts to decalcify the pineal, allowing it to function properly for both its material and more subtle purposes.

"Through multiple studies over the last eight plus years, researchers worldwide have shown that Nanobacteria are the cause of pathological calcification in humans and other mammals. Pathological calcification is involved in coronary artery disease, atherosclerosis, kidney stones, polycystic kidney disease (PKD), prostatitis, liver and kidney cysts, peripheral vascular disease, micro-vascular disease, diabetes, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, calcific tendenitis, bursitis, autoimmune disorders, endocrine dysfunction, cataracts, scleroderma, pseudoxanthoma elasticum (PXE), eczema, psoriasis, lichen planus, cancer, soft tissue and muscle calcification, Alzheimer’s, brain sand, pineal calcification and others. We are also investigating the involvement of Cardiac-specific C-Reactive Protein (CRP), Collagenase, destructive Matrix Metalloproteinases (MMP) and Myleoperoxidase (MPO) in these disorders and how our core technologies inhibit their pathological activity. Many of these diseases cause death while others just make our lives miserable. "
