Some say the only way you can truly appreciate your life (however lame it may be) is by going through an ordeal. I don't know if its for necessarily for everyone but it worked for me.
I spent 5 years living as a chemical slave. Now I really appreciate being able to get up in the morning and not feel sick and being able to go wherever I want not worrying about getting sick. I got myself into that mess and when I finally got out I realized that **** ain't so bad.
I had a friend who was MISERABLE, he joined the military and was sent over to Afghanistan, he was happy because he thought at least that way he could 'die a hero'. Now he's back and as happy as a freaking clam, not that he doesn't have the worries he did over there.
But anyway, as Carol said without more details there's not much to go on. But I think it's probably safe to say: Break your routine, do something new. You'd really be surprised at what can come of it
