Default "Twilight in Your Wooded Temple" a poem

I've been struggling with the idea of posting a poem...
Is it appropriate? Why not... we're all new here and what better way to get to know a person's mind/spirit than reading one of their poems?

"Twilight in Your Wooded Temple"

In the twilight, unseen hands lead me to your alter,
I follow the scent of wet earth, my foot steps never falter.
Like twining ivy wet with dew, I'm caught up in your snare;
I seek your strange, harsh embrace, in fragrant branches, rare.

Here, in your Wooded Temple, I lay in your roots, entwined;
Music from different worlds are swirling within my mind,
Furtive whispers from strange gods dance inside my head;
I feel your leaves weave a shroud, as if for the Blessed Dead.

I close my eyes as your loving tendrils hold me ever so close,
Letting go of all worldly concern in my sweet repose.
Now, forever dreaming within your fragrant flowers,
I'll dwell for eternity in your ancient twilight bowers...

I hope you enjoy... and, nice to meet you.
