About spanish flue, it is important to think about this disease in its right form.
The reason it took so many relatively young lives and mostly males is because of ww 1. A lot of young men out in war, it is logic it had to be this way. (Victimes 20-35 y og age)
And for that reason i think this factor about taking young healthy individuals is "fake", but of course an hybride of a virus can be dangerous. But the reason so manye died was because og war and the following pneumonia. So it is ekstremly hard to produce a pandemic of this calibre today.
