Re: Love is Expansion -- Fear in Contraction
I have studied and practiced metaphysics for some time now (certainly no guru though it must be said) and i admit that early in my journey contemplating the concept of "love" i had many problems
I tried to express it, i really did. But it all seemed so .............. disingenuous. After a time, i concluded that "love" ( in the conventional sense of emotion as most humans know it) can not be manufactured. Or forced.
So i scrapped the whole concept and instead focused on energy flows - positive/negitive. Metaphysics ties closely with physics, and just as a battery does not have a "love" charge or a "fear" charge, i concluded that i didn't as well. Indeed, i to was made up of positive and negative charge.
So instead of trying to express "love", i instead began to express positivity, which finally allowed me to advance beyond the conundrum of love or fear.
And it is easier and much more natural too. If you try to force yourself to love someone, it can actually seem kind of creepy to the person you are trying to love and in many cases you will not find that love being returned. Positivity however - all beings react positivly to that form of energy and you find that generally speaking, what you give, you recieve in turn.
It's the law of resonance or attraction i believe some term it.
That my conclusion anyway at this point (though my mind is still open to other concepts). I Hope it offers an alternative approach for anyone stumbling on the "love/fear" concept.
