the difference is in a single letter (z), however that's insignificant as letter t in front of a vowel in latin is pronounced as z is in italian (ts).

As a matter of fact being an Italian myself, had to study Latin for three years at the Intermediary schools here in Italy.
Having now reached the Venerable age of 63, it was quite a long time past.
