I'm afraid there is no proof. Proof is the wrong word. Even in science, there is no proof, only the evidence of experiments, which can be misinterpreted. I could add "IMHO" to every sentence I write, but that gets to be a bit ridiculous after a while.
Listen to the witnesses. They disagree with each other. They can't all be right now, can they? Look at the failed predictions that have been made. How many people got all worked up about these?
Now is it possible to know for a fact that these are intentional lies rather than the result of different points of view and the limitations of language? Not really, but the effect on someone seeking the truth is the same - they get nowhere. So, if it's not true, I'm calling it a lie. It may not be the fault of the messenger who is simply misinformed. They are passing along a lie, but they may not be aware of it.
There are, however, plenty of disinformation agents who are out to mislead people. Even in disinformation there is information, if you can figure out what they are trying to sell you and why.
Here's the kicker. I'm not going to tell you who to believe and who to disregard. No one knows all the answers. Some of what they say may be correct, and some may be garbage. I place some of what my most trusted sources have to say into the "TBD" pile because I have no independent way of confirming it at this point in my own development.
This is a really difficult problem. As others have recommended, the best approach is to develop yourself spiritually first. Develop your intuition. Seek out first-hand knowledge.
