its just a matter of degree.
Is some one (heaven forbid) was to come at one of my family with a knife then im not going to hope for the best but take immediate action to try to prevent harm befalling them, you are my family too. I would not then seek out his family (the knife weiders) and inflict similar on them.

Gandi had the right balance with peacful protest.
Mother Teresa said You wont find me at an anti war demonstration but a demonstration for peace is a different matter. Spiritually its called right action.
This medium of text of necessity leaves a lot unsaid.

People can allways justify their actions, if they knew better they would do better.
