Re: The time to form like minded communities is now!
Like-minded communities are great for awhile, but without diversity of beliefs and backgrounds they usually don't hold up for too long.
In my opinion, it'd be better to stay where you have contacts, family, friends and try and change the conditions in the community you already live in. Make an effort to get to know your neighbors, find common ground. Difficult times bring people together. Others may need your knowledge and experience to survive. I can't help thinking that this disclosure of certain areas being uninhabitable might have something to do with a massive land grab and if we just abandon our homes and connections we will be worse off than if we stayed. Sure there is some risk but life is filled with risk.
I'm staying put come hell or high water and making the best of the situation.
