That really depends how far people go with it. Cancer means your body is so far toxic it is very difficult to reverse.
Listen to the Gerson interview and realise how much detox is required to reverse years of toxins. 5 coffee enemas a day, 13 fresh organic juices, organic food etc... It is very strict and most people have the view cancer will kill you so are not prepared to sort their diet out fully as they are in fear. I know, my Dad thought it was all too much and unfortunately he didn't make it.
Unfortunately most people who are 'well' are unaware how bad their diet is until it is too late.
