Re: any one willing to stay in the heat zone?
NKA I understand it. I was doing a meditation last year to get in touch with an ancient past life, thinking that would be kind of cool. I found myself standing in a totally desolate area having survived some kind of disater. Most of my family and friends were dead and at that point I really didn't care if I survived. This is not what I expected from my meditation, but I believe it is something I need to remember this time. Building community is our survival.
Follow your own path. Be in alignment with your own purpose and things will fall into place.
On the practical side, Tom Brown has an urban survival book that has some good information. He is a somewhat controversial person, but I think the book has some value. I have other bits pieces of survival info that may or may not be helpful depending on what climate you live in. Taking a back packing class could give you some skills that are useful even in an urban area.
