Magnetic declination changes normally during the year. I'm not positivie(surveyors don't hardly do compass surveys nowdays) but around the month's of June or July is the worse time to take a compass...

Well, I'm not sure I would call the Bible a "complete work" within itself just because it has a book of the beginning and a book of the end. You can pick up the Bible and start reading anywhere...
