pretty amazing story thanks for sharing it

Re: Meteor-like objects falls in Latvia
Experts say this crater was dug by hand and made to look like an impact site by igniting pyrotechnics in the middle of it.
I don't know, always quick to debunk...the statement that these impacts are rare and because of this fact it just cannot be a crater, is to me a pretty stupid thing to say. :P But it does look a little too neat and tidy, but hey! What do I know about meteorites and how tidy they tend to be! :D |

To create a realistic impact crater...bury a propane cylinder, detonate electronically (from a safe distance). Then remove all 'shrapnel'...viola, authentic looking meteor scar.
Then, check yourself into your local hospital for a full diagnostic workup...'cause there's definitely somethin wrong wit ya. :original: |
Re: Meteor-like objects falls in Latvia
Its interesting how they are saying that it was somehow "dug" out of the ground with shovels. I can see some pretty big clumps of clay there that would require quite a large shovel if not the inteligence of the "shovel driver" to break them up first.
Ive dug some holes in my time , and looking at this one.. it would take a whooole lotta digging to get a hole of that size with just a shovel and even a pick maybe. I smell something and its not cookies.. |
Re: Meteor-like objects falls in Latvia
So, ok dug by shovel. Ok I can go with that but, what about the way the soil has settled around the rim of the hole, I could not ever emulate that with all the holes i ever dug while farming.
The hole also seems chambered, almost wine glass shaped, if you wanna debunk it , fine, but dig a whole the same first and show me. |
