Reiki under attack by Bishops
Recently a committee of Catholic bishops wrote a statement saying that Reiki is based on superstition and Catholics shouldnt use it. More specifically, they said it shouldnt be used in Catholic hospitals, health care centers or by Catholic chaplains. The statement was based on misinformation.

Re: Reiki under attack by Bishops
Good rebuttal, however I suspect the Catholic agents/bishops most likely acheived what they wanted to in quite a large measure.

Re: Reiki under attack by Bishops
Wonder what they are afraid of here? LOL
I was pleasantly surprised to see that they even used it in the Hospitals here and wondered about that. |

I am welcomed by anyone who wishes Reiki balancing/healing or even any calmative effects for the dying. My own S-in-Law died of breast cancer, but I was there until the end with whatever chakra-balancing and love I could give. She went peacefully, and beforehand was looking forward to her 'new place' in the next dimension. Bless. What right has any 'power-mad' so-called 'religion' (let's face it - a controlling group) to dictate to or deny what is natural?:lightsabre: |

There is a new idea.

I have a friend that taught me a little lof this and even though I am not schooled I was able to help my daughter in law during labor. She was totally freaking out and I calmed her in a matter of seconds. The nurse startled me when she asked "what did you just do" I said I was praying because I know how it is precieved. I figure the bishops are afraid of something they cant control They of course will link it to witch-craft. How sad is that? I know the power of reiki and I welcome it..........I seen it work many many times. My sister was given last rights and left to die and we brought her home and its been 18 months now and she is fine. All we needed to do is feed and lover her..............We need no religion, only our faith in God |
Re: Reiki under attack by Bishops
Your news article took me quite by surprise. I first heard of Reiki thru a quilting friend who had taken a workshop given by a priest and a Catholic nun. Another friend who is also is of French background (Quebec) also told me that was how he received his level one.
Personally I don't see any difference between the laying of the hands and Reiki. I have since gotten level one myself and it does come in handy. Probably misinformation somewhere. Or maybe we are a little more progressive in our thinking here in Quebec!!:lol3: |
