Electronic Citations Will Save Money, Say Metro Police Reported By Cara Kumari POSTED: 3:47 pm CDT May 12, 2009 NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- If you've gotten any type of traffic ticket, you know the drill. The officer writes out the citation, explains what it says and then asks for your signature. But in the near future, Metro police might not be offering a pen.
