Free Gift

In today’s environment of doom and gloom, threats and social disorder, I was given a gift. It is my wish to pass it onto you.

Every day at least once do someone a favor. For this favor to be valid the person receiving it must not be aware of who and how it was given.

However you can post here the nature of you gift and it effects on you and its recipient. :original:

Hi AussieG,

Not wanting to blow my own trumpet - it really isn't my intention, but I have been doing this now for years.

The important thing is that the recipient of this 'favour' must never know who dealt it. Why? Because the purest form of doing a favour is doing the favour and just that.

When people like to be recognised because they did a favour, the purity of the deed is lost because, to a certain degree, one could argue that the person did the favour to promote themselves and not to offer a helping hand.

It's good that you now know of this anonymous favouring and I hope that you will keep it up and pass the idea along to more people at the right moments in time.

Best regards,

Steve

Hi AussieG, I have spent a lovely mothering sunday not in the way you may think, in which many i am sure where pampered, wined and dined that's not for me but simply spending time with my kids (well adults now).
My eldest son was sorting his garden out and mum come to hand as always in these scenarios, which plants go here mum, which plants go there!
Dug the borders always theraputic for me, trimmed bushes and trees and clipped the rabbits claws for my grandson.
With a nice cup of tea in hand i glanced around and suddenly felt lucky for what i have.
Then the door bell rung my other son who has just moved in with his girlfriend announced he needed a hand in his garden.
So off we all went, this time the kids dug the garden i gave the orders ha ha!
Sorted his plants out for him and where to put his new bedding plants, while my husband looked through the house to see what needed painting first.
Busy day yes VERY! but i wouldn't have changed it for the world.
My gift to them and many more i feel.

Good point made here.

Do any of us realise though how many times we help others without realising it.
