There's a special story behind this video. I met Joe South when I was 14 years old, and not too many years later, was told that he had died. I just found out last week that he's as alive as you and I, so I had the experience of laughing and crying at the same time. Filled with joy to know he's 69 and aging beautifully, I wrote him a letter and am anticipating a response. His song is a message for us all.

I wouldn't exactly call it heaven considering the circumstances under which we met, but we became close friends during very trying times for us both. Joe is a wonderful person and I only hope that he receives my letter and can remember those days.
