Thank You Canada Olympics were well done

We can focus on the homeless in Vancouver, and the rest of world needing food...And troubles in the ecomony and the PTB...
But thank you Canada.......Your Country gave me hope through the Olympics,
through some myopic vision..there is a large group of people that respect our culture and future visions, from all over the planet..
You did well...Thanks for a great ride...
Canada won the Hockey fair and square... well done...
And the Olympians. Thanks.
Good luck to Russia. They'll need it..
Let the games begin..:wink2:

What a celebration and overflow of emotion! We needed that! And now that the party is over we can get back to focusing on more serious issues and see what we can do to improve the situation.

We Canadians do have our faults, but generally we are a compassionate quiet group. It was great to see the nation come together and really be proud to be Canadian out loud, faults and all. :)

The Malfunction of the one turret for the indoor flame in the opening ceremonies and then using it is as a piece of humor in the closing ceremonies sums it up.

Yes, proud to be Canadian. One thing they were missing though in the closing ceremonies along with the beavers and canoes, was the "Tim Hortons" roll up the rim cup!

Now, that would have been sweet! :thumb_yello:

I don't want to insult any ego driven canadians (I though we were earth's children),
but the truth is the olympics were terriblly organized and remember that one guy died, because someone forgot to cover deadly turn, same with slovanian runner.
Mother nature wasn't to pleased either and wormed everything up a little bit.

gibonos,
Yes we are all earths children, why do you want to separate us? :nono:

Sometimes it is good to just talk positive, and this did start out as a positive thread, everyone is aware of what happened there, but I am sure you can find the bad in everything, if you continue to be on the negative side of it all.

It was very nice to see some positive remarks, and thanks to the lovely, aware and awake souls on Avalon, I got to see some.

rosie,
I'm just being realistic
I'm not gonna say it's a sunny day while it's raining!
the reason why I said about ego it that there is no
other country that has more of it's flags everywhere
I also saw it here in this thread...
no offense :)
