Smile

i saw this thread on another site but it rang very true with me and i wanted to share it here with you...i hope the author doesnt mind if they stumble upon it here. it is shared in love and the best intentions.

Its very hard to articulate our emotions as human beings because we tend to think what we say instead of saying what we think. Its not really our fault ofcourse but one of modern language.
It doesnt take a lot for some people...more for others..and less for others again, but if you have been blessed to have given or recieved a smile recently...or made someone genuinely laugh, then you will understand the spark of truth that one feels inside..both the giver and recipient.
A little candle is lit briefly but it brightens up the whole cave fantasically...if only for a minute. But within in that minute the potential for clear sight and understanding is great.
Love, compassion, honesty...come down to a way of being and i urge everyone to smile at a stranger today or really mean it when you thank someone and be aware of the feelings that transpire and reverberate within the truest self of your being...not only knowing you have changed someone's life for the good but also given yourself a reminder of the reason you are here at this time.

For yourself...and others...be that candle and love at every opportunity :original:

Just be

peace always

Oooooh Yes this is so true Mikey .
Such a great post :wub2:
A few years back I experienced the profound feeling a smile can convey when receiving one
from a stranger I happen to cross on a street on a day my heart was full of
sorrow . That smile and straight look at my being did lift me instantly up shortcircuiting all
my gloomy thoughts and reaching me straight in the heart.
Ever since I pay attention to smile at people in the street . When you do you really can see
how they literally begin to glow sometimes changing their aura's color from dull to bright .

I smile at You

Love Always
mudra

Good forward mikey. :original:

I try to smile at everybody too, just makes for a better day. I remember one time I was walking into a corner drug store in a pretty rough nieghborhood in chicago, and this really big dude with like full sleeve tattoos (and even a neck tat too as I remember!), was coming out, so I held the door for him and just kinda gave him a smile. He looked at me and said "What the **** are you smiling at?", and all I could say was "**** man, I just smile at everybody.", and he was all apologetic after that, but I was thinking for a second, I can't believe I'm gonna get in a fight 'cause of a smile?!

I try to look less goofy when smiling now though.:lol3:

A good song for the smile thread (starts slow, gets better).

Re: Smile

I have always tried to practice this. It's amazing to me how something as simple as saying "thank you" can seem to almost "shock" some people. Please also. To me it's just simple manners. yet to someone else it can brighten the day.. especially when accompanied by a friendly smile. :)

In light, of love

My world is full of smiles from the moment I get up till the moment I go to bed. My children are always laughing and smiling and they bring happiness and joy to everyone they meet. Smiles taking the time to see others in a positive way remembering we where all children once who play , laugh and smile without a care in the world. Lets light up this world with smiles and laughter.
For you from Louis B. Armstrong a musician who was always smiling irregardless
of the circumstances around him. :lmao:

Re: Smile

i LOVE this thread ... there is such a freshness about it ...

wherever i go ... i think i smile alot ... ppl tell me that anyway ...

i've been making this observation for awhile now ... that whenever i am out in public ... so many ppl seem to be in their own little worlds ... so many feel like they are not connected to all that is around them ... only in tune with what is happening within theirselves as they shop or whatever ... oblivious to life around them ...

sometimes ... these ppl glance my way and i watch as their eyes suddenly stop ... and stare at me  ... i used to think i still have food on my face or something :naughty: ...

but i've come to know ... they do this quick stare i guess because to many ... smiles nowadays i guess are not of the norm ...

so i just continue smilin ... i ain't shy ... i now know exactly what will unfold ...

they'll keep staring until it seems they snap out of their 'i' world ... smile them selves ... and that is when i feel they have connected to all that is around them ... conscious are they now as to all the other energies ... not just the separation of their own self ...

they've connected ... it's really cool ...

all because of a smile ... ha ... go figure ... :thumb_yello:

i think we should make smiles contageous ... pass as many around as we can ...

hahaha ... a thought just came to mind ... i can see it now ... tptb will feel smiles getting out of hand and out will come 'the smile flu' ... :lol3:
better get our shots hey ... :lmao:

ok ok ... don't know what's gotten into me ... get on this thread and i can't wipe this smile off my face ...

love all these smiley pics ... especially flipper ... one of my cousins don't you know ... :wink2:

raulduke ... you're funny ... :lol3:

Re: Smile

Thanks for starting a thread on “smile”, mikey!

Now, there is a lady that I meet almost every morning, while walking my dog. She is one of those poor homeless women that talk to themselves, always desperately looking around just to find someone who would respond back. Usually – to no avail. So, one day she passed by me in her usual manner ... talking, looking ... All of a sudden I felt this urge deep inside ... like a flame of a forgotten candle ... like a trapped ray of sunshine ready to jump out into the freedom ... I stopped ... she stopped ... I looked at her ... she looked back with her eyes full of hope ... my puppy’s tail wiggling ... silence ... And I smiled at her ... she smiled back ... This moment will stay embedded in my heart forever! The story behind her smile was yet to be told ... it is a tale of a soul longing for kindnesses, human dignity and Love, while at the same time crying out the days of loneliness and sorrow. From that moment on – we smile at each other, every morning, till the end of infinite Time.
And, as I love roses, her is one, for all of you that keep smiling from the place of your Pure Heart!

Thank you again for starting this ... !

In Love and Light,

Yours
Astra

“A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he cannot get along without it and none is so poor that he cannot be made rich by it. Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give." ~Author Unknown

Re: Smile

thank you all for your amazing and genuine responses....smiles are indeed contageous and in all honesty i truly believe that we will not venture off too far from where we deeply want to be if we all genuinely smile more.....smile at one another, smile at nature, and honestly smile when we feel that it is right to....alone or not.
smiling and laughing (showing happiness and joy) is multiversal and it transcends literal meaning and shines through our physical being from somewhere deeper. it is in essence our truest expression.
peace and love to you all and thanks again for your responses on this thread.

peace always
mikey

Yeah, the world can be kind of a bummer sometimes, puts alotta peeps in a grouchy mood, but sometimes a smile can go a long way at the perfect moment (like Astra's story), unless you run into this guy....
