Eye-friendly site contrast

If I spend much time reading this site, my eyes become very strained.
I'm writing to request a serious consideration be made by the site coordinators to change the color/word/background contrast to a more
pleasing, eye-friendly one.

This is being requested on behalf of those, like me, who are sensitive to this. If you are not, good for you. I've also had feedback about the minty option but others have not had success with either.

Anyone who has come across a pleasing website, please post the link it for
examples of what changes might be best. I will check out some of my own to offer.

Thank you so much, whoever you are that has the power to make this change, for your kind consideration to this matter.

I sit about 5 or 6 ft away from my hi-def 2-ft screen and use ctrl+ to enlarge the print (which is a god-send) but still, the eye strain is terrible, and it's because of this white on dark background.

Anyone else want to vote for this change? thank you

Burgundia < lol.... thank you!
Swanny... am using the Minty now, and it IS better.
Reader, I checked out Default... minty will do for now.

Now I feel like a lazy Asss for not having found those to try...

Minty is really Bright but the green on green IS better than white on black... ok, back to being lazy... lol
