Greetings:

Peppers can also be perennialized quite easily by bringing them indoors (if you don't have a greenhouse...), letting the leaves drop and not watering them. You can keep them in the dark! Then bring them out, water them thoroughly and put them out during the day when there is no chance of frost in the spring.
Bring them back in overnight and you don't even need seeds.

We've a seed from a 'tree pepper' that gets 7' high, and produces peppers year round if you pollinate the flowers by hand. Once fully grown...it'll produce a few pounds a WEEK. They have denser flesh than most and live higher up in the Andes.

Yes, yes, yes. Pepper plants are fantastic. I did the same, red and yellow peppers, the expensive ones. The deer ate the tops off the first year, I didn't get any peppers. I brought the plants inside for the winter. Put them out again this year (inside chickenwire cages), they're 5 feet tall and STILL producing flowers today. God bless their little peppery hearts!

I keep moving them around - Make sure temperature is not to cold...
I also open my windows alot to get them fresh oxygene.

Thanks for the information about it's many year cyclus..
These plants on picture i first saw them in may 2008..

*How big can these plants become? - Like a small tree or a huge bush?

They can get between 5 and 12 ft...most stay between 4 and 6'. I can't wait for my http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocoto Next year. we started them a couple of months ago and just finished our greenhouse to overwinter all of our baby starts for the winter. Mostly we get cold rain, but now and then it freezes and snows.

I really liked you image posted because it said "pepper plant children".

When we plant and then collect the seeds (children) then we are forming a special relationship between ourselves and the plant. It takes care of us and we take care of it and it's children. This is really amazing when you stop to think about how this works and the additional value of growing your own garden.

I have about 40+ pepper plants growing right now and am up to my armpits in peppers to dry. Needless to say I have tons of pepper seeds (children) :original:

It's my first year having a relationship with my plants...
I agree it's a relationship... I have come to almost feel love towards them plants... I think of them if I have been gone for a couple of days..

That link was good - I didn't know how big they could become - Or even if they could carry more than one fruit...

Phytomphalos with the appels.

I collected a couple of plasicbags with appels - Some was laying on the grass and others i took down myself.

I transported the appels (on bike) into the city.

I use a machine that makes fruits into liquids\fluids.:mad3: (machine makes a-bit noise)

And then i use a simple coffe-filter - I make sure that i have enough filters..
And then after a few rounds through the filters...

It looks golden - And taste golden - And proberly full of all sorts of natural medicine.

Just made it today 14 october08 -

Anyway - It was really fun to create such a great product in my own kitchen - only the cost of teh filters..

(I have cleaned the bottels with a bottle-cleaner-brush-thing) Took off the stickers that said Cogio.

Nice bottles i think.
Nice design.

And offcourse i went and gave some to the people next door...
