Why has Bill Ryan's Post on project Avalon been deleted?

Why has the thread on "Bill Ryan's Post on project Avalon chat" been deleted?

Are we discussing this like grown ups or was this discussion not allowed and censored by over zealous politically correct moderators?

You can't have debate with censorship. Or are we free, to do as you please?

Blessings...

Yep, I read it as well while it was up. It's a strange thing how these good posts keep going away.

i noticed that as i was in the middle of making a comment..as i pressed to submit i got this:

lightblue, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

wonder what may be the reason...

my comment was suportive and general..nothing offensive..

best wishes l

They were in the process of taking it down as you were posting.

I think there are some issues with some mods? Ive recently had a mod pm me asking me to change my avatar because "it could lead others to feel uncomfortable" and "we" requested that I choose a more positive or neutral image for my avatar! It was a Pink Floyd cover! This I found exceptionally disturbing, there seems to be a very strong undercurrent here........watch this post disappear (and maybe me!) :wink2:

Hummm, I would hate to see this forum become the mods private playground for power hungry people. I hope this post stays too. This forum has no place for censorship of issues on this debate unless postings are abusive.

The mods should be aware, this issue will not go away even if they make us go away.

That is NFG, lets hope that things like this are not a trend. Control of any kind of information is the polar opposite of what this place is supposed to be about. Pictures and artwork are information.

I think if Bill's post was deleted it must have been his decision. I couldn't access this site yesterday due to "Freedom of Speech Issues". From where I am sitting if Bill can't post whatever he wants on his own site, might as well throw in the towel. I would like to know more about what happened.

I don't think the messy details of their spat should be allowed to be debated by everyone on the forum... it is a private matter between Bill and Kerry... they have done their duty to us "children" by giving their separate statements/reasons... so leave it be.. and move onto building up the plan B...

the only way tptb can really win is to have everyone lower their energy levels by diving into the pool of anger (etc.) over something that has already happened (so you can't reverse time and make it turn out differently) and making demands about an issue that you don't have any authority with...

yes it is always upsetting to see loved ones squabbling... but you can make the effort to be the mature one and set an example for others...

Maybe your use of a dangerous animal for an avatar? :mfr_lol:

Seriously though, its unlikely to have been your post, just coincidense and timing.

"it could lead others to feel uncomfortable"
An assumption based on one's own fear.

What constitutes positive and neutral?

Apologies, a situation arose - things are happening way too fast.

Kerry claimed much of it was lies. Bill now confirms it is the truth as he knows it.

I am going to put it back now. It was done in the spirit of reducing potential damage, due to post #1 of the thread.

i had to LOL at this one.. i too have come across stuff in the past where a thread was shut down but im not savvy enough to realise thats what it was. anyway do we head to the hills? do we stockpile food? do we get into survivor mode? these are questions ,many newcomers may ask when visiting this forum. i too am still asking these questions. my feeling is yes yes yes .

Absolutely, but the issue here now is censorship.
Many, perhaps all, of those messages were in support of B&K. There is no good reason why it should have been taken down. Even if the request was from Bill or Kerry themselves. Instead, the thread could simply have been closed as normally happened.

Chill please.

Phoenix, some of the more tender hearts - have a sensitivity to images.

Relax, the mod explained her view, you explained yours, and she backed off.

I like nice images too. I have even turned off avatars because there are some I don't want staring at me while I read a post such as the one-eyed ones.

We don't all agree - we can't please everyone all the time.

We strive for the middle ground. This is a public forum, but a private space with guidelines. This is not a free for all.

Its been a very difficult day for all especially for the mods caught in the middle.

Is this a place for tender hearts given the content of the forum? I understand what you are saying however, some Pink Floyd artwork compared to the financial, social and physical collapse of plant earth orchestrated by an elite group of evil doers and the impending invasion by child eating reptillians picking the flesh of bones left after the latest HAARP caused mega earthquake?

Not a place for the tender hearted methinks :original:

(my issue was it appeared to reflect the personal opimion of that particular mod)

This can be quite a productive forum. But it appears that it has lost its direction. I know how everyone likes the drama. It is pure entertainment. But for truth seekers it can be quite annoying.

This is my first post in a long time and I came back to see if there was anything interesting going on in the forum. But unfortunately I never liked soap operas.

:)
