This thread could just as easily be in the health and healing section, but I chose spirituality as it is the main reason I have been Sun gazing.

I started Sun gazing quite by accident this summer and have since noticed many wonderful effects. I was happy to find this video that explains some of what will happen to those who participate in Sun gazing, and it sure ain't blindness...:nono:
Solar Gazing also activates the Pineal, in fact it makes it grow as studies buy a top brain scientist has shown.

Phtha: I recently watched this documentary....very interesting & makes sence to me. However, I am wondering about the possible dangers from the sun now, as there is so much happening with it....eg. sunflares, UV's & other changes. I know he says when the safe periods are, but I am wondering if its safe during the safe periods.

If anyone reading this thread has a good understanding of what's happening with the sun now, could they please share their thoughts on the safety factor.

YES...it IS safe during the safe periods...early sunrise and late sunset.
I have been meditating with the Sun directly thru my eyes for 3 years now and have looked at early sunrises and late sunsets for over 1000 hours in all...
and I am connected to the changes occurring spiritually in nature/mother earth in a beautiful and direct way, Waitinginthewings...and my eyesight is better than it ever has been.

And yes, the sun is stronger than it ever has been, energy-wise, and getting stronger each day ...but it is safe to meditate with it directly if you have healthy eyes and use your heart as intuit and build the time up in small increments that feel right for you.

If You have been out in nature regularly without sunglasses simply take the reflection in thru your eyes off of the water while meditating and connecting with nature...right now : ) Enjoy!

hey nice one Phtha. I watched this when you posted a few weeks back now and have since tried gazing at the sun many times in the last hour of light and i do plan to learn much more about it. One day in the fall it was an awesome red ball and very energetic on the eyes!

Its hard this time of year because there is a lot of cloud cover from winter wearther. Other times its hard to see the sun because of chem trails that blanket the sky blocking out the sun. Insane.

Today the sun was pure white through the clouds and I could see the shape of it because it was so diffused. It was really amazing.

Watching the video i saw in the youtube comments from chs posted a link to a site. i have book marked for reading later. peace jt

I was looking at sunrises a lot more last year, when I started going to bed earlier (also important for health). It always felt wonderful to watch the sunrise. I've got our of the habit since before christmas... but I'm heading back that way now.

Thank you Phtha for these wonderfull videos and eagle spirit for your links.
The benefits of sun gazing make a lot of sense to me as the sun being at the
center of our solar system is mirrorring our heart .
Heart heals, harmonizes , loves ..
Keeping us away from the sun by spreading the information that it's rays are
dangerous is like telling us to hide from our heart and that the source of
life itself...Love... is something to be wary off.

The origin of this practice/belief have been traced to the Iron age where the Sun was believed to be God across many cultures - and this belief was resurrected in the pagan renaissance. For some reason it keeps popping up even today - I'm not here to say I'm a naysayer - but generally exposure to the sun has many positive health and/or mood enhancements (vitamin & seratonin production etc) so it's very common to feel observed benefits.

I would just like to add - use your discernment on this one - it's relatively safe if you follow the guidelines - but please keep in mind - we all have slightly different bodies from our genetics and our current state - and this can be something that for some may not be of benefit - actually to the contrary.

For example - if you are someone with mild Keretaconus (an eye condition often not diagnosed but prevalent in many - I would suggest this is not for you). Not spinning fear - just saying don't get caught up in the beliefs/testimonials of others - use your own discernment and make the best decision for you.

All I can say about Sun-gazing is that it is very rewarding and invigorating. I always feel energized after it.

I'm up to 5 Minutes Sun-gazing at a time now and I feel absolutely energized afterwards. I highly recommend it (That is, by following the instructions of course).

Finely had a sunny day here and just finished a glass... ahhhhhhhhh
I also love how glass water jugs casts so many rainbows when in the Sun...
I tested the glass with other lights, including grow lights, and no rainbows... just from the Sun!

The teachings of Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov point towards a Solar Civilization. Ive been looking into this since Monday. very interesting. Could be the way forward.

With the skeptical eye, you wonder what the real reason behind the article is.

Either A) someone is trying to get the truth out there that sunshine is not a killer... or

B) there's a tiny mention in the article that too much vitamin D can harm your kidnets... so you might want to limit the amount of supplement to the bare minimum. (Justification for codex alimentarius, anyone??)

Got my 10 seconds in with a beautiful sunset today. Question... if I don't see the sun tomorrow, do I carry on with 20 secs the next day, or does the counter reset to 10?

Wow I never know there was a term for this! I always try to catch the sun before it sets, weather permitting of course (uk!) it makes me feel warm and glowy to look at the loving force of the sun before it sets. Thank you for illuminating this practice

Can anyone help me out here? I’ve started sun gazing and am up to over 2oo secs but unfortunately I live in UK where we don’t get the sun on a daily basis. My question is lets say if I gaze for 200 secs on a sunny Monday and there’s no sun until Thursday, then do I gaze for 210 secs or do I have to start all over again?

The time was used more of a reference then anything. Don't be to concerned about it. If your gazing during the 'safe' periods that HRM mentioned then you'll be fine. It is certainly a good idea to start small and work oneself up, kind of like how I have to tan my skin so I don't get burnt.

I just went about 3 weeks without Sun:mad3:, I noticed my eyes were a little more 'sensitive' when the Rayes came out again, so took it easy the first day, but now am right back to where I was.

The EYES will let you know... if the Sun appears really BRIGHT and thus 'uncomfortable' to look at then take it a little easy. If not, if you experience no discomfort due to the LIGHT, then no harm is done.
