Not every word is a metaphor....
and truth is not in the first meaning... But a second thought.... might clear the path to another door. OUESTION - The Moody Blues http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ki2VMALEPc0 |

Re: A musical interlude
And for you all, some of my poetry, written with "Imagine" as a background noise of sorts:
Let's Fly Away Let me take you on a tour Of a world full of lush forests And vast oceans As vast as my love I'm tired of this nonsense Let's get away from it all I'll take you places You never knew existed This world makes me weary The stress is just too much Let's fly away to a paradise One that we never knew existed Because I'm tired of this life Wary of this game I wish to love And be loved back I feel like it's been a lifetime And I know it has been So close your eyes And we'll go on a trip We'll fly away together And leave this nonsense be I'm tired of fighting I'm tired of not trying If you'll come with me We can find out what love is If you'll give me a chance You'll give love a chance.... No Just Wars Can't quite describe this feeling Of nonchalance and apathy Nothing but war and death Anger and sadness What have we come to And where were we heading I really don't know I can't really say If you asked me What I took for granted Freedom ain't one of those things Because it don't cost a dime When will you stop and think What are we doing to ourselves? Where is this world going? Why are we dying like this? Who told you that you had to fight? Who put that weapon in your hand? You never had that thought Up until the day The day the war came home I'm sick of all this fighting I'm bloody sick of all this dying I'm sick of this government lying Nothing ever changes From generation to generation But if they could end one war Why can't we end these wars? Call me naive But I just don't understand Why does it have to be this way Why do we have to pay this way I ain't no hippie But thank god I'm not a ****ing boomer Or General Patton Or Douglas MacArthur I hope you enjoy your bitter medicine Your cold war mentality You ended one war But you can't be bothered Because you think these wars are just wars The only just wars Are those where the powers fall Where did you go wrong? THESE WARS...ARE NOT JUST And we're just not going to stand for it anymore |
