I have an idea that might work.

I have noticed allot of negativity here being brought in by new Avalon members

with negative agenda's and banning them is having no effect, they just get new

accounts and come back. I have a solution. I need Avalon's member's support on

this. It is a up to us to whether we want this or not, so i am making this thread

so everyone has a say and we can get the Mod's attention, they might be

able to do something. I have the following suggestions to be implemted.

5-10 day wait period for new members getting accounts.
This will stop people who been banned from going and new accounts right away.

10-15 day probation period, Were if a new members come's in stirring trouble
he is automatically banned, no questions asked.

This is not my descision it our's, so if you support this then lets get the

moderator's attention. If you don't support this then your free to voice your

opinion.

Being new here I have been wary of posting lately after seeing what has become disharmonius to the group. I have been following Avolon for a year now and found a loving beautiful group of people.

If a propbation period is required to keep the energy positive. tHen I will gladly stand in line and wait my turn.

What i find really incredible is that people like you, Paul, are sort of "on probation" while others get the colour purple immediately, even if they appear out of the blue....

Leunamros 12-16-2009 03:35 PM

Re: I have an idea that might work.

Although more chaotic now than when it was paid subscription, i have to say there are more interesting threads now than before, seriously. I see more openness, a little of it, than just the dogmatic "be positive all time" that was present in the past. Nevertheless, that shadow will be always there, i think. This spiritual tendency could be a heavy dead weight unable to make to known each other more directly without so much prejudices on shaking hands.

If trolls are a bad thing, force others on being positive all the time is very disruptive as well, i think, because it conditions people on not being themselves. You have to admit, itīs not easy to be a positive person when your life is full of things that make you sad one way or another, and many people live those kind of lives. Itīs nonsense to smile outside when you cry inside. Hope you get the idea.

I noticed that too,

however I can understand this due to the heavy burden placed on the MODs.

I consider it a test of my patience. (which I have never been good at):lol3:

Very true. I cannot PM or even reply to a Visitor Message. :zip:
I have broken no 'Rules' or any T&Cs on any forum but, I am treated as if I did.

Also, people will slip back on regardless by way of a 'Proxy'.
So an IP ban does not necessarily work.

Just a thought

Instead of a probationary period or along with it and not having to revert back to subscription making it hard for those that truly want to join.

Could some sort of application for membership be created to be reviewed by existing members for acceptance. It may sound a bit cliquish or elite but I think we can work out the bugs as a group.

Just a thought!!:original:

I know how to ensure that members who are banned stay banned - but I'm not telling anyone how because people are getting banned for no good reason. All that needs to happen is that the forum needs to stop treating the new members like dirt -- and start being more serious and there will be little problem thereafter.

Hi ya Majorian...
That is the Rub for me...I do most of my 'Networking' in PMs and not in open threads.
I also like to simply read/lurk and I feel punished for not posting just for the sake of posting.
I could not even reply to a simple Visitor Message.

I 'understand' the WHY of it all but, not everyone is a 'Bad Guy' and out to spam or troll.

Us

This forum is one of the most unconstructive places I have seen online.

It will ALWAYS be full of problems until people start being more sincere.

It's that simple.

I'm about to be banned anyway.. so this is probably the lasy you'll hear of "TruthWalker"...

What a sad forum.

In all honesty.

This is one sad, sad, unprofessional circus.

You ban people (who need not have been banned) and then wonder why you have problems.

Then you insult people all over the forums, and when they complain about it -- your answer is to close threads and ban people.

It is ridiculous.

SAY SOMETHING REAL AND STOP INSULTING EVERYONE

From Jnana on another closed thread:

Here's a simple way to improve your life:

1. Click on the name of a user who is making your forum experience less enjoyable.

2. Click on "User Lists"

3. Click on "Add to Ignore List"

Well, to each their own I guess....
I personally never use an 'Ignore Button'. If I want to Ignore someone I simply do not read their posts and move on...
Even people that seem annoying can add to the equation.
In other words I can learn from people I disagree with.

I don't get how we all know that you are the same guy who got banned as WarriorServant and yet you're still posting the exact same way under a new name.
160-so posts, and half a dozen threads in one day all on the same issues, with the same tactics, and you're not yet banned again?
I guess none can say the mods haven't shown incredible patience, or given you a fair shot.

I've been noticing the numerous, frivilous postings, many getting edgy and mean spirited. It is obvious to me that people are not monitoring their thoughts and they are becoming hairtriggers to post.

Are these psychic attacks? I've thought such that even Bill Ryan has been "affected"...even compromised. It's so obvious to me that people are haviing their buttons pushed, we all experience this... but ask yourself if your response is really needed before posting.

And, just because someone responds derrogatorily to a post, it does not require your response to their response, whether it's in defense or whatever.. just skip over it...

Examine your self please. People are so Easily triggered, easily angered, easily offended. NOT good, not good at all.

People, where is your Grounding Skill? Check your "programs", reboot is necessary!

The reason for this is that "senior member" status is currently linked to the number of posts a user has made. This, unfortunately, rewards trollish behavior. [constantly posting is an aspect of being a troll, not the full definition, but an aspect]

A better way to determine Senior Member status would be by time elapsed since sign-up.

...hope some moderators can institute that change,

Trolls show how far are present in the people who feeds them, the weaknesses they have.

Exactly! Well put! In fact that is what I have been 'forced' to do. :winksmiley02::smoke:
A time Limit or even a quick scan of members accounts could screen out any people that could be 'trouble makers'.
Most people do not abuse the system...

I agree moxie

This is a good playing ground to practice what you preach to bring love and light out to the world without being triggered into lowering one's vibration

If one is triggered look inside to see why a bunch of letters would have this power over you!

Practice your power! Practice unattachment! You can still respond to a thread without being reacted into the emotion of it. Emotions are not wrong or bad, I am only talking about the emotions that own you or dictate your actions rather than one being responsible for what they put out into the world.

Now that truthwalker/warriorservent is gone, for the time being until he finds a way to join us again, we can all see he is here to disrupt, separate and cause chaos. That is his agenda

Talk to one another, do not engage him, he will suck the life out of you.

So many have tried to be nice, to engage him in a conversation, he will have none of it, he only seeks to destroy and suck our energy

Do not allow this, do not engage

He will leave when he sees his game of manipulation is not working anymore

Peace and love to all

Truth
