St. Louis Metro Area

Hi,

Looking for contacts in the St. Louis Metro area. Let's say within two hours of downtown?

I have seen the gracious invites from the Kansas City area but that is simply too far for any type of regular meeting or cooperation during an "event".

Focusing on peace while trying to be prepared,
Johnny

I am not within two hours of downtown St. Louis, but St. Louis is the nearest city to me. That is, unless you consider Quincy, IL as a city itself, but I do not. I recently moved here from Western WA to attend a local trade school. I have made an acquaintance here who I am pretty sure would qualify as a member of the ground crew, but it would be great to meet others nearby.

Truly it is great that the folks in Kansas City are so willing to get together and take the first step. I would be willing to meet with some folks in St. Louis sometime. Hopefully, there will be others near St. Louis willing to do the same very soon.

Peace.

Re: Missouri

Hello all!

I want to take a moment to impress upon everyone the necessity of getting together this weekend. I'm sorry if I'm being "serious" here, but there is quite a heavy gravity to the situation right now. Anyone that knows me would tell you I am not a SERIOUS person at all. So please take me seriously here on a little analogy for the moment.

If the economy came to a screeching halt tomorrow before our meeting and everything went hell in a hand basket, where would you be?? No plans, no on group to work with, nothing. You're on your own, right?

Second scenario, you come to the meeting, people meet each other, we codify some core issues, we have phone numbers, addresses, and starting plans galore.

Which situation sounds more confrontable???

There are only two ways you can be wrong in this physical universe of ours.

Over or under estimation of effort.

I would much rather overestimate the amount of effort in our current situation and have people of a like mind to survive with etc. myself. Not to mention the scenarios beyond that which need more data evaluation and estimation still...

How about you?

Please listen to the new George Green audio posted yesterday. If 50% of the things occur, we are in big trouble. Maybe they won't at all, but, at least we can be prepared and ready if for nothing at all.

Please attend this weekends meeting for yours and everyone else's sake. Sorry to be so hard core, but it gets the point across.

Thank you.:original:

Oh, okay, thanks.

Greetings to you. It's good to hear about someone up my way.

I'll be going to the meeting in KC this Saturday. Interested?

That's an excellent idea for those who would need to travel to attend the meeting. By all means, especially with the gas prices as they've been, carpool! I will definitely be there as well. I look forward to meeting you.

Jonathan,

I most definitely will be there. My husband is coming also . . . . surprised me quite a bit when he asked me if it would be okay for him to come too. Maybe he is beginning to wake up. :original:

I may have a couple other people coming.

So add 2 warm bodies to the count!

Re: Missouri

FYI.

The meeting at the 75th Street Brewery will be held upstairs in the Nest.

Here is a description:

The Nest gives you and your guests a birds-eye view of the brewery from our indoor "balcony." It accommodates up to 25 for a sit-down meal or up to 30 for a casual cocktail party. The Nest is the perfect place for a business luncheon or a birthday party.

Here's their web site for more details....

See you tomorrow night..

Hey strayslack . . . . I have to smile that no one in certain current threads that you have posted in have not picked up the meaning of your avatar. I for one am glad you are in my area. :thumb_yello:

Yeah, I was worried that my avatar might ruffle some feathers on this forum. So far, not many people recognize it.
I look forward to meeting all of you. There will be two in my partayyyy!

Many things are considered a conspiracy theory until they come to pass. Many people are conspiracy theorists until they act. Often people are content to sit on the sidelines theorizing and analyzing. It is important to ask oneself, "Do I want to act or react?"

Kudos to those of you who attended our KC meeting. I, personally, considered it a great success (13 attendees, approximately 0.5% of the forum). Next meeting Oct. 11. Location to be announced soon.

Hi All,

I am brand new to this thread and I am so thrilled to know that there are folks out there with the same thoughts...

I am sorry that my husband and I missed the first meeting! We will make it a point to meet you all Oct 11.

We live right across State Line in Kansas and the 75th Street meeting location would work great.

Re: Missouri

Hello Midwesterners,

Our third “physical” meeting (we have had several on chat) will be this Saturday, October 25 at 4:00.

The meeting will be here on my organic/eco farm just south of Kansas City. We wanted to combine the meeting part with a Autumn get-together . . . . complete with camp fire, smores, animals (lots of baby chicks), fishing, organic hamburgers and laughter. Come meet like minded people that you may want to form a community with. We are on our way in establishing 2 possibly 3 zoned communities now.

We are people from all walks of life, we look like and are your neighbors, co-workers, college students, doctors, financial advisors, electricians, computer programmers, lawyers, teachers, printers, farmers, mothers, fathers, husbands, wives and children. Normal people in a very difficult world who want to build a new abundant life.

Also I wanted to announce that I will be giving homesteading, herbal and gardening classes this coming year here on the farm. Learn how to grow and preserve your own food, chickens, medicine or just how to survive out of the concrete jungle!

Post here if you are interested in coming to the meeting this Saturday or in the classes and we will be in touch.

Is this the same October 25 meeting as mentioned by Blufire77? I am interested in participating in these group discussions, but I do not necessarily have the resources or time to drive all the way across Missouri.

Re: Missouri

Hi everyone!
This is my first post. I'll be moving to MO very soon and would like to talk with others that are VERY serious and already preparing for surviving these next few years ahead. I have a very secure property I'll be moving into pretty far from main cities and would like to discuss building magnetic motors to run the place as well as any inventive ideas you may have for generating power, water capture and filtration, medical tools and procedures, food creation and storage, hunting, self defense, etc. I've done quite a bit of research throughout the years, so I've got a lot to contribute and am always learning more every day. I can't disclose my specific location until I've talked with you for quite some time though. I'm sure you understand why. I just want to try and get connected with whomever is in the vicinity so that when the time comes we can combine resources to aid in a better chance of survival.

Very happy that this forum was developed!
Hope everyone had a good Halloween!

Re: Missouri

Hi again!
When does everyone plan on having another meeting? I won't be in MO for a few more weeks. Hope I get to attend. Is there any kind of initiation to earn each others trust or do you just meet and talk? I'm very happy to find others in the same general area I'll be in that seem to be on the same page. Is anyone dealing with the free energy aspects at all? If so, what are your plans so far?

Thanks,
